Legal Question in DUI Law in North Carolina

Plea

Received DWI, blew .29 second one in 6 1/2 years. Also, had driving left of center...hit/run property damage--only $10.00 worth. I need to know if I can Plea this down to get just the hit/run and driving left of center? Please help.

Re: Plea

Any reductions in a DUI offense requires the ADA/judge to write out the reasons why a reduction is warranted. In other words, it iw highly unlikely you will be able to plead this one down. You may be able to have the driving left of center dismissed. .29 is extremely high. I would recommend you get an attorney! Either appointed or retain one. They can go back 7 years on the DUI's. This is a pretty serious misdemeanor and you could face some jail time.

Good luck
