Legal Question in DUI Law in North Carolina

out of state dui laws

My wife is a resident of North Carolina. She got a dwi while in Texas. She has not gone to court yet, but they said that her liscense is suspended for 3 to 6 mnths( first offense) Now back in North Carolina is her liscense suspended here as well as Texas? Does she have to appear in court in Texas and serve her punishment there or can it all be transferred here to North Carolina?

Yes, a Texas conviction will result in a suspension in NC for at least one year. Your wife may be eligible for a privilege. I will be glad to talk to her.
