Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Child support

My ex and I have joint custody, however he wasts to give up all rights to his two sons 5 and 7 so he doesn't have to pay child support. Can he do that if I don't agree.

Re: Child support

You asked if a father can give up all rights in order to get out of child support.

No.

No question. In fact, just suggesting that option is a strong argument that he should have no custodial rights.

The only possible way a male (I won't use the word man) can get out of child support is if the child(ren is adopted by another parent AND the birth father relinquishes all rights.

Roger
