Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

I have an employee who has a child in another state. The state's child support agency is attempting to get us to take out child support from his paycheck. Because it is in another state can they require us to do that.

Yes, if the order is proper and valid. Your employee should pay his child support but there are legitimate ways around an out of state order if you don't want to garnish your employees wages.
