marriage laws in my state?

I got married on dec.22 2007 in NC,it's the wrost mistake i ever made he was verbally abusing me everyday after the wedding i did a name change , but now i found out that the name he married me under is not his birth name and he has never been adopted by his stepdad he just goes by the name he even has a id and a social security card under that name.. what should i do it has only been like 40 days of marriage..is this grounds to get out of my marriage?

if you are speaking in terms of divorce, you don't need grounds in NC, we are a no fault state. But if you are looking for an annulment, I would have to research further to see if this falls under fraud for annullment purposes.
