Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

Regaining Child Custody

I gave my Ex-husband primary on a joint custody order under the verbal agreement that I could get her back once my move to california was finished and I became more established. He has since recanted and I am going to have to take him to court. He said that I could have a 2 year visitation but not regain primary custody ever again. He is going to deploy within the next year and I want primary custody back.

Re: Regaining Child Custody

You're going to have to take him to court, and you're going to have to do it in the state where your daughter is living.
