do stepchildren have visitation rites to a dying parent

I'm not sure if there is any actual 'legal right' but this question can best be answered by common sense. Anyone who would keep a step child from visiting a dying parent Is most likely going to be up for the biggest jerk in the universe award unless there is some extremely compelling reason not to allow the visitation.
