Legal Question in Family Law in North Carolina

My wife and I are seperated since june 28 of 2013 and I have my daughter every other weekend and she is 11 years old. We live in North Carolina and this weekend my daughter came home with a percing in her jaw which I was never told about. So my question should my daughter had concent from both parents before having this done at this age instead of just her mother?

In my opinion 11 years old is too young for facial piercings other than the ear lobes. However, there is nothing illegal about it and it is probably not something that the mother would have been required to get your consent on. That said, the flip side is true as well. When your daughter visits, you don't need the mother's consent to remove the piercing. By the time the weekend goes by it should be healed up enough to require re-piercing instead of simply putting it back in. If you do that it is likely to cause a rift between you, your daughter and your wife. You'll have to weigh whether it is worth it to bust open that hornets nest. Still - 11 is just too young!
