Legal Question in Civil Litigation in North Carolina

a neighbor and I entered an agreement to cut down some of my trees in my yard at $100 per month until the work was completed. however, he has done NO work here for me in overe two and a half months so I stopped paying him. he now says ghe is going to put a lein on my house, can he do that?

It sounds like he wants to be a contractor's lien against your home. You need to consult with a Real Estate attorney if you haven't to contest his lien claim.
