Legal Question in Health Care Law in North Carolina

What information is legal for hospitals in North Carolina to ask for when applying for financial assistance? Can they ask for bank balance on bank letterhead, tax returns 1040 IRS form, market value of house?

They can ask for any of that information. They are not legally required to give anyone financial assistance so they have the right to ask for any financial information to determine you ability to pay.
