Legal Question in Immigration Law in North Carolina

Citizenship through Family

I am a Canadian teacher who would was wondering if I could use my uncle as a form of ''family'' for obtaining citizenship. He is a U.S. citizen and is married to my father's sister. She is also from Canada but has had her green card for over 30 years. If obtaining citizenship through work is my only way, how stingy is the gov't with handing out work visas? When my teacher friend tried they told her they'd used them all up for the year. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Family based immigration is limited in the US to either the children, parents, or siblings of the US citizen. For employment based immigration, you may be able to qualify, but you would need a willing employer to sponser you. If you'd like more information, you may contact my office for a consulation.

My best wishes.
