When you both apply for a Marriage License, you both need to provide certain personal ID documents. Verify with your local courthouse as to what documents they require.

If your fiance is undocumented without any documents at all, there could be a problem, as even his name, date of birth can't be verified. Before you marry someone from abroad, you need to verify their name, date and place of birth, names of parents and his marital status.
