Re: Business interuption insurance

Whether you can sue depends on the nature of your coverage. Your insurance may cover your lost items (subject to e.g. any deductibles), and further your policy may have "business interruption" coverage. You have duties to properly submit your claim to the insurer (including e.g. typically a Proof of Loss form), and you generally have a duty to mitigate your losses (by e.g. attempting to resume your business as soon as possible). You should probably consult an attorney in your area to review your policy and your situation in greater detail.
