copyrighting my stage name

my legal name is--name removed--neal--name removed-- and im an adult performer who uses the stage name of chris neal. im wanting to copyright the name and was wondering how i could go about this and how much this would probably cost.

I am unclear if you wish to CHANGE your legal name or simply protect a TRADE NAME.

The former will have to be done through your local court, the latter I could assist with, depending on the purpose.
