Can any action be taken against a supervisor who alters time punches. Multiple employees are missing hours on their paychecks, and they would like to see something done about it. NC Dept. of Labor is not interested in hearing the situation out; what can I do?

If the employee has in fact worked those hours, then the employer is failing to pay the employee for all of his work, which violates wage and hour laws. It is therefore not clear why the DoL is not taking interest in the matter. The employee can always sue for his wages, and in some instances he can recover double damages and attorneys fees.
