Legal Question in Employment Law in North Carolina

I was given a final written final warning for what was called borderline falsification . Is there such a thing? I feel my character has been defamed after having superb quality reviews with the company . Upper management got upset with me for making them look bad in front of our director a few days prior to this quality error return for correction. What can I do at this point being that I haven't signed anything ?

Unfortunately not much. Terms that an employer creates are completely within their purview. So if they can define "borderline falsification" that is the definition that gets applied. You are not required to sign a write up. Because NC is a right to work state, employers can hire, fire, and discipline for any reason other than discrimination.
