Legal Question in Employment Law in North Carolina

I am an hourly paid manager working in North Carolina and I am required to carry a cell phone 24/7 is this legal?

As long as you are paid for the time that you put in yes. You should speak to your HR/management to determien what is your expectation with the phone during tiems when you would eb sleep or otherwise unavailable.

But as long as you are paid for time that you put in for answering the phones and otherwise, it is legal.
