Legal Question in Legal Ethics in North Carolina

I rented a car service for 4 hours at a rate of 250 dollars. The car service came and picked 2 of us up from the home address and dropped us off at the destination requested. The arrangement was for the driver to come back at a certain time to come pick us up. When the time came the driver never showed up after being contacted several times by cell phone. He never answered and we were left stranded. Do I have a case against the company?

Yes, you paid for a service and was only given half of what you paid for. You can sue in small claims court and most likely you would be refunded half of what you paid (educated guess...court cases can go almost anywhere). You may also be able to get reimbursed for your expenses due to their default...i.e. the cost of alternative transportation. Make sure you have evidence such as a contract for the agreed upon services...otherwise, you will have a tough road in proving your damages.
