OTH Discharge
I broke my arm 5 weeks into basic in 1998. I had two medical leaves for 30 days. When I returned from my first leave, I was mocked, ridiculed, and threatened so I stupidily did not return after my second 30 days of medical leave. I also still have troubles with the arm which was not properly corrected after the injury. I would like to upgrade my discharge, but I do not know if I could get all the paperwork done myself. I would like to be eliglible to work for the VA or some sort of government agency (state, federal, or local). I do not have a lot of money either.

You can go to one of the service organizations such as the DAV or the PVA. They will assist you with the paperwork to upgrade your discharge.
