Legal Question in Personal Injury in North Carolina

My 18 year old son works at a restaurant. The owner made some remarks about me to him, (I didn't raise him right, didn't teach him respect). I made a Facebook statement regarding this, not mentioning his name or the name of his restaurant. Now he says he is going to sue me unless I apologize. Does he have a case?

Presumablly the basis for suck a suit would be libel (written defamation). If the things you wrote on FaceBook are true then the owner would most likely lose. However, if the things you wrote are untrue, then the owner may have a chance of winning. These types of case can become complex. If you do get sued, you should consult with an attorney.
