My grandson was bitten in the face by his cousin's dog at the cousin's house in Rocky Mount, NC. The bite was unprovoked according to the witnesses present. What legal steps need to be followed in pursuing this incident? Family is not interested in suing, but wants to know what steps to pursue to get all help available for the child. Child needed between 15 and 20 stitches to close 2 separate bites on his face. Child is 5 years old.
