Legal Question in Personal Injury in North Carolina

Husband and wife works at same place, business shuts doors, so now they are drawing unemployment. Both were involved in auto accident on 9/3/08 which was not their fault, and had not been released from Doctors care when husband was involved in another auto accident on 12/3/08, again not at fault. Nothing has been settled for either case, no doctor bills have been paid, so everything has pretty much gone to collections due to the fact your are trying to survive on unemployment. Lawyers do not communicate and unless you call to find out where your case is standing. How long should this take. Is it too late to retain another lawyer?

Hopefully lawsuit is filed on the first incident and will be filed soon on the second. The statute of limitations is three years. I am sure your lawyer will contact you as needed. But you may want to make sure lawsuits are filed.
