Answer to a Complaint filed

Does a judge dismiss the answer to a complaint filed? Or do the Plaintiffs have the ability to decide their next step upon receiving the answer to the complaint?

A judge would not normally dismiss an answer to a complaint. He could "strike" the Answer, if proper grounds exist. The Plaintiff would generally have to decide how to best "prosecute" his or her case, and you may be well-advised to obtain an attorney to assist you in this process.
