limb falls on neighbors car

A limb from a tree on my property overhangs my neighbors driveway. The limb fell after a snowstorm and damaged his car - who is responsible?

Generally speaking, you would be responsible (or your homeowners' insurer) only if you were negligent, which usually requires that the limb have been rotten (or otherwise in a condition such that you could have foreseen that it would fall).
