can a person who gave me a dog and I gave it later to some one else sue me to get it back or for money on grounds she said she wanted it back if i decided to give it away.

It depends on a lot of additional facts. If the person just gave you the dog with no strings attached, then it is considered a gift and it is your property. If the person gave you the dog with the understanding that you would take certain acts (not give the dog away, train the dog, feed the dog a special food, get the dog groomed every week, ect...) this is considered a contingent conveyance.

Under the later facts, the seller had an agreement that you could keep the dog if you complete or continue to complete the agreed upon act. If the act if breached then the dog would ebcome property of the first person again.
