Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

Moving violation and suspended license

About 7 years ago I received a moving violation ticket in North Carolina. At the time I possessed A Georgia Driver's license. I did not show up to court in NC. I later forgot about the whole situation because I sold my car so I didnt need to drive. I decided that I wanted my license back a few months ago, and it still comes up suspended on the CA computers. I know that I need to pay off the ticket and get letters from NC, and GA. My main question--Is their a Statute of limitations regarding this issue? Please tell me anything else that is helpful.

Re: Moving violation and suspended license

Just contact the court in NC and ask them how to clear it or you can hire a local NC attorney.

There is no statute of limitations for a traffic ticket. You must take care of the NC ticket to get your license back. Call up the clerk's office in the county where you got the ticket and they can tell you how to pay it off.
