Legal Question in Traffic Law in North Carolina

Two Speeding Tickets

I got a speeding ticket for 80 in a 65, then two days later I received another speeding ticket, 44 in a 35. That one was a school zone. The 1st ticket my court date is May 14th, the second May 10th. My question is can I get the school zone one dismissed, improper equip, etc. and use my PJC on the big one? If it is not dismissed can I still use my PJC bc when I received the ticket my record was clean. or will it not be clean due to the court dates.

What is the best option, I do not want my insurance to go up. Thanks

Re: Two Speeding Tickets

If they are both in Wake County, the best you can probably do is get a PJC on the 80 in 65 and pay the 44 in 35 or try the reverse and get a 74 in 65 and a pjc on the 44 in 35 (don't know if they will do that because they might want the revenue of the fine). Either way, if those are the only two on your policy in the past three years, your insurance wouldn't go up.

If one or both of the tickets are in different counties, you might have more options.
