if a deceased person's will assigns all vehicles in their name to a family friend who is now deceased, do the heirs of that person get the vehicles? or will it stay in the family? -north carolina

When did the testator (person who made the will) die? When did the friend die? It depends. If the person who was to receive the vehicles died after the testator, then the vehicles would pass to the person's beneficiaries or heirs under the intestacy laws if the person had no will. If the person died before the testator, then you would have to see what the testator's will says about who will receive the vehicles since the person died.
