Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina

Lawyer and will content

How do I find out who my deceased mother's attorney is? My eldest brother and I are estranged and he is exector of her will. All I want to know is what, if anything, was mentioned concerning me in her will. I was the only child she actually raised and lived at the home. I was the youngest of 5. It was told to me that I was suppose to receive her house, but cannot get in touch with anyone who can,or will, tell me anything. What rights do I have concerning this?

Re: Lawyer and will content

This should be public record. You would head over to the clerk's office of the county where your mother had her domicile and ask where the estate division is. You can do a computer search to locate the file number and then you would pull the file and see the will and what has been done so far, if anything. If you need help with this, find an attorney in that county.
