As a life tenant, you have the right to use the property in any way you see fit. You have the rights to receive any rent from the property - like if you charged your daughter rent. You have the responsibility for paying for the taxes, insurance and general upkeep of the property and have to maintain it in its general condition. You can even rent to another person for the remainder of your life. You cannot sell it and when you die, it passes to the remainderman. If that is not your daughter, she would have to leave if the remainderman wanted her out.
