Legal Question in Wills and Trusts in North Carolina

My siblings and I were beneficiaries of my parents estate. they also left a GST trust to the grandchildren. Two great grandchildren were alive at the time of my parents' deaths, but unknown to my parents. Do they qualify for any inheritance?

Read the trust. It does not matter whether great-grandchildren are alive or not. What does the trust say? Are only the grandchildren beneficiaries? What happens when a grandchild dies? Does the share of the dead grandchild go to his/her children or get distributed back into the trust to be divided between the surviving grandchildren?

Unfortunately, if you do not see an answer, then you are going to have to find a probate/estate/trust attorney who practices in the state whose law governs the administration of the trust and pay the attorney to review the trust.
