i was at work and fell .I was on the clock but i was going to get a gas can for my personal use but i was still on the clock and on the employer property

It is impossible to tell whether you have a good case or not based on the limited facts you gave in your post. However, just because you were getting a gas can for personal use does not automatically disqualify you from getting workers' compensation benefits. You should consult an experienced comp atty and file a claim with the NC Industrial Commission within 2 years of your injury to preserve any rights you may have under the NC Workers' Compensation Act. Go to ncworkcomp.com for a link to the NC Industrial Commission, print off a Bulletin and Form 18, and file the Form 18 ASAP. Good luck!
