I would absolutely advise that you speak to an attorney regarding your rights. Workers; Compensation is a complicated and tricky area of the law. Your settlement will entail 3 essential components: 1) wage loss until you find what is defined as "suitable employment"; 2) Future medical compensation and 3) benefits for permaent partial disability to your injured shoulder. A skilled workers' compensation attorney will be able to go through your medical records and talk with you about many other intangibles that will allow him or her to properly value your case for settlement. You need a professional on your side to help you out. Put it this way...if your TV breaks, you don't take it to the auto-mechanic for repair, you take it to the person who's been trained to fix your TV...same thing applies here. I am happy to speak with you should you so choose. My contact information is available online at www.JesseShapiroLaw.com
