Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in North Dakota

Do I leagally have to put in a 60-day notice?

I am moving out of an apartment. They say they require 60-day notice. Doesn't North Dakota only require 30-day? And my lease ran out months ago and am living month by month. Since now there is no lease, couldn't I really just get up and leave? Would my roommate need to sign my notice if one was needed?

A month-to-month tenancy requires 30 days written notice to vacate.
