Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in North Dakota

Hospital bill collection

Does hospitals have legal stand on asking us to provide them with copies of our W2's and Tax returns in order to set payment arrangements with them in regards with our current medical bills. We have agreed to pay them $150 a month a year ago and now they want more. Our income has actually decreased and someone told us they should not have access to our tax forms.

Re: Hospital bill collection

No. Give them nothing. They are not entitled to anything but payment. They are seeking collection information in case they decide to sue you.

How much is owed? I may be able to negotiate a partial reduction/payoff schedule if your finances merit it.
