Legal Question in Family Law in North Dakota

Video Taping Husband

I caught my husband videotaping us in an intimate act without my knowledge or consent. Under what grounds for divorce does this fall under and can I press charges of some sort against him?

Re: Video Taping Husband

The act may be characterized as an assault, a battery, the intentional infliction of emotional distress and an invasion of privacy sufficient to provide grounds for divorce.

You may have other civil remedies for money damages if he showed the tape to others.
