Stolen Car

If a car is stolen with the keys in it and the car is left with the keys in it is it still a possibility to prosecut?

The crime is the unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. The crime requires the intent to deprive the rightful owner of the possession of the automobile, even if only temporarily ["joy riding"]. It does not matter technically whether or not the keys were left in the ignition, although under the right circumstances a jury might assign partial blame to the owner who left them there.
