I am in the process of starting a new business. i will be using my business credit cards to purchease items needed for my office. can i submit these items as business expenses at tax time even though i havent actually received any profit from my business yet?

Strictly speaking, this is a tax question as opposed to a legal one. An accountant is the best person to talk to about this.
That being said, you may be able to deduct these expenses.
