Legal Question in Credit and Debt Law in Ohio

Request for Admissions, etc from Collections Agency

I have recently made arrangement s and completed the re-payment of a debt to a collections agency. Since then, I have recieved a packet of documents requesting that I fill out a lengthy form partially titled: ''Combined Interrogatories, Requests for Admissions, and Requests for Production of Documents''. I do not know what this is and what it will lead to. Could someone explian what part of what process this is and what I can expect in the future?

Re: Request for Admissions, etc from Collections Agency

If your getting served with a request for interrogatories, it appears that a lawsuit has been filed against you and they are requesting information to assist them in their lawsuit. If a lawsuit was filed, you should have been served with a Complaint.

I would advise you contact an attorney to assist you in resolving this matter if indeed a suit has been filed against you. Our firm handles debt defense matters. If you would like, contact my office to discuss your matter further. We offer a free initial consultation.
