Legal Question in Disability Law in Ohio

Adult Dyslexia

I am a 62 year old adult working

with undiagnosed dyslexia. I claim

dyslexia from screening responses

that strongly suggest. In previous

positions I have been able to work

around the reading and numbers

problems. In my current position I

am falling behind in areas requiring

number accuracy. I want to ask for

reasonable accommodation.

1. Do I need to provide professional

diagnosis?

Re: Adult Dyslexia

Like any other medical condition, yours requires evidence of an expert. You may want to ask a local EEOC representative about this if you don't feel secure about going to your HR representative.
