Legal Question in Disability Law in Ohio

Disability Invasion of Privacy

My husband is on mental disability. He is enrolled in school to become productive again. The school is requiring him to fill out a health form. It states he must show everything he is being treated for, as well as all medications. It says willfull omission will result in disciplinary action. He has been persecuted for his disability in the past. Does he have to complete this form or is it an invasion of privacy? What does he have to divulge? He worries that he will be banned from school when they see his history and medications.

Re: Disability Invasion of Privacy

You're best off discussing your concerns with the school, because it depends what sort of school it is. If he has mental issues and there is heavy equipment or he could pose a danger to others, then absolutely they have the right to know. How MUCH they have the right to know, however, is debatable.
