Legal Question in Disability Law in Ohio

What is the statute of limitations for filing a lawsuit against a school that discriminated against a child with disabilities? Does filing a complaint with the state of Ohio, e.g. Civil Rights Div, etc., stall the statute of limitations?

Before you file a lawsuit, there are other things that you may have to do, like going through an agency review process. You should realy contact an attorney named Frank Hickman in Cleveland. His phone number is 216-861-0360. Your child has the right to a Free and Appropriate Public Education under the ADA, and if the school district is interfering with that right, there are options available to you. If you don't want to contact an attorney, you should contact a disability resource center in your area.

My family had a similar problem with a school district refusing to educate my brother. We had to hire an attorney, and it worked for us. Our attorney's name was Thomas Zraik from Sylvania (near Toledo), Ohio.
