Re: Appeals

The general rule is 30 days. Knowing when the 30 days starts and ends is sometimes a little confusing.

Are you asking about a civil action or a criminal action? Who is the defendant-who was the action against?

Time limits for appeals are strictly enforced-you need to talk directly to an attorney as soon as possible!

If you call I will be able to give you more information. No charge or obligation for the call-Don't rely on information from the internet! It is usually legally correct but may not fit your situation! Call an attorney asap and take advantage of the free tel. call!

Good Luck

Re: Appeals

Ordinarily, you have have 30 days from the date of final judgment to file an appeal, but there may be circumstances which would cause that period to be extended. What exactly is going in your case?

Re: Appeals

Dear Litigant:

In Ohio you have exactly 30 calendar days from the date of the filing of the Judgment Entry or verdict, within which to file your Notice of Appeal. If you fail to do so timely, you may be forever barred.

Contact an Attorney ASAP. Good luck!

Sincerely, J. Norman Stark.
