Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio

File on Mobile Home Keep Car?

Am I able to file bankruptcy on my mobile home but yet keep my loan for my car? I got evicted of the property for being 2 days late. I have no where to move the property and have moved back home with my parents. Can I keep my current loan for my car and file on my mobile home payment?

Re: File on Mobile Home Keep Car?

Certainly you can choose not to keep the mobile home, and can still decide to reaffirm the debt on the car. There are even some circumstances where you can also save on repayment of the car loan, if your loan balance is higher than the present value of the car, by filing a Chapter 13 instead of a Chapter 7.
