Legal Question in Bankruptcy in Ohio

Repayment of creditor after discharge

If an individual were to make payments to creditor after the debt had been discharged in a Chapter 7 bankruptcy case, can the other discharged creditors also seek to be paid? If known, what Section of the US Code refers to this issue?

No, it's none of their business if you pay creditors after obtaining your discharge. But you should never make payments on any debt after the bankruptcy without a written reaffirmation agreement (with Court approval) because then you may become legally responsibile for paying the debt in spite of the bankruptcy. Any promise the creditor has made you may not be enforcable. I would suggest paying any debt you feel you must in a lump sum and obtaining a receipt marked "paid in full." Unless the money was from your Mom or Dad, Grandma or Grandpa..and clearly, that's different.
