Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

Defamation of character

I was recently accused of photographing a minor nude or inappropriatly during a session. The police were called to the work place, questioned me, reviewed the pictures, declared there was nothing to pursue and advised me from there. I was never held or taken into custody. The people who made the accusations have since gotten me fired due to this. The minor in question was questioned and also said there was nothing inappropriate going on, she was never nude, and I had verbal permission from her mother to do the photos. The managers of the building contacted my direct employers ( different company ) and continued these allegations, resulting in my termination. The minor and her mother are supporting me 100% in pursuing a defamation of character case against the accusing company. My reputation has already suffered greatly due to this. Would it be worth my time financially to pursue this case?

Re: Defamation of character

There seems to be a potential wrongful termination case here if you were employed...you can file unemployment if you were there at least 6 months...we need to see if the people causing the problem have lied in any way...thats where the defamation comes in to play.
