Legal Question in Civil Rights Law in Ohio

Drug testing

My question has to do with drug testing procedures at my place of employment.

The co. that employs me has nothing to do with the testing. They hired an outside source to administer the program.

My questios has to do with the testing personnel telling me that I have to empty my pockets in thier presence prior to my entering the restroom for urine collection. If I refuse to empty my pockets, in essence, then I am refusing taking the test.

I have nothing to hide but fell that the nurses telling me that I have to empty my pockets do not have the authority to do so.

Re: Drug testing

Yes, they have that authority. Otherwise, how will they know whether you took some "clean urine" into the restroom and substituted this for yours?
