Freedom of Speech violated

While at a village council meeting, my friend was on the agenda to speak to council, however when she was in the middle of speaking the Mayor told her she was done & wouldn't let her finish. During the posted ''Public Comment'' session, I was not permitted to speak and when I attempted to, I was threatened by the Mayor that he would have the Police Chief remove me if I said another word. I was told this was a violation of my civil rights, and if so, what if anything can be done about it. Not only did the Mayor do this, but the village council as a whole did nothing to prevent him. This happened to almost everyone that attempted to speak. It is on audio & video tape as well.

This certainly sounds like a violation of your civil rights, and I would either contact the ACLU or a civil rights attorney. You may contact me directly if you would like to discuss this further.
