school suspension

my 17 yr old daughter was suspended from school for posting on myspace pic of student doing sexual gesture to teacher. teacher got myspace printoff from another student. my daughter removed pic two days ago. my daughter suspended from school for 10 days on last day of school. to be served aug 25-sept8, 2009. she received paper saying this. was told by admin. that she may not attend sport activities all summer. this NOT on paper. also, my brother heard of pic from principal of school BEFORE i had heard anything. do we have any options or do we have to just take it. student actually in pic got 5 days suspension.
