Legal Question in Consumer Law in Ohio

Recently my husband n I just bought a truck long story short .. weve only had it for 3 weeks and the transmission blew well orginally it wasnt suppse to b no money down went that to 250 to 500 down well we had 30 days to pay ok.. so they made the contract with it saying that we already paid 500 to bank n our copy . 1 week later we went in paid 200 and told them the transmission was slipping well they said we had a warrnty but they have to find paperwork. Ok. Never heard from them. 3 weeks of having the truck the transmission blew completely we called bank dealership n insurance insurance couldnt do anything bank said call dealership we havent even made 1st payment yet and they wont fix the truck because we still owe dealership 300 we told them they can get the truck since no one is fixing and their not getting other 300 because were not paying for a truck to sit so what im askin is where do we dtand or what can we do

In Ohio, much depends upon what your paperwork on the deal states. If you have a warranty that covers the transmission, then that will be a strong point in your favor. But I cannot tell from your description above whether or not you had a warranty or not.

You mentioned something about the dealership looking for the paperwork. Did they not give you paperwork evidencing the sale when you purchased the truck and took possession of it?
